Obviously, the whole time Luke and Lorelai we're going to get together but Amy just couldn't write that out front she has to build tention but even still some of the Segways in storyline really throws me as an adult especially with the romances

Seasons 5 and 6 weren't good. The writing was bad. Lorelai and Rory were like they were out of characters, like somebody else was playing their roles. Lorelai asking Luke to marry her was ridiculious. Lorelai would never have done that. Rory moving with her grandparents ,her and Lorelai being seperated for so long. The whole April fisaco. The only 2 good things in Season was Rory and Lorelai finally making up and Lorelai dumping Luke. Other than these 2 Season 6, like 5 was bad.

Season seven had its moments, but it seemed liked they writers were trying too hard to have the witty flair that was present in all other seasons. It just didn't have have the punch that the pop culture references landed. It was at times nonsensical, but not witty. The loyal watchers felt like something was off and it was. Where was that ingenious, bizarre wit? And the characters were a little off as well. Like in what universe would Lorelei get married without Rory there? And Chris knowing their relationship ever propose this to Lorelei? Never, ever would this have happened. The ingenious, bizarre Amy Sherman Paladino wit and writing just wasnt there. An unpopular opinion, perhaps. But, that's what I saw.

This show was unique. I don't like the premise of a mom and daughter being "friends". Although they do prove it doesn't work. The dialog is tight. Some of the stories are painful, like every one where Lorelei jumps back in bed with Christopher. A mistake shouldn't be repeated multiple times, trying to give it legitimacy. It doesn't.

Amy should have been there for Season 7, should have had a 2 hour finale. If Amy wanted to finish the show with the "famous" last 4 words . The storyline with Christopher and Lorelia wasn't good. Should have wrapped up the show in Season 7 and instead of coming back with the 90 minutes special, had like a 2 hour movie to wrap up GG, with maybe fans finding out who is the father of Rory's baby.
